Steps to reproduce:

  • Have multiple threads in a folder (e.g. inbox)
  • Collapse all of them
  • Search through emails using the quick filter function

Actual results:

The threads are all expanded, irrespective of their previous status

Expected results:

The threads should not expand if they were collapsed before using the quick filter function.

Riccardo, did they stay collapsed for you in version 102?

Yes, they stay collapsed in version 102. I used the quick filter feature all the time and I never saw this behaviour prior to version 115.

This could indeed be a duplicate of bug 1687655; I had looked for possible open bugs but didn't find it.

This is being fixed in bug 1807063.
