User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:121.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/121.0

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Selected folder Bin in IMAP email account
  2. Selected a message
  3. Right-clicked and clicked Empty Deleted [I also note that the wrong name is displayed; i.e. Deleted, not Bin]

Actual results:

All emails listed were deleted. BUT the content of the selected message remained visible in the reading panel.

Expected results:

The reading panel should have been cleared of the now-deleted-message content.

This reproduces for me.
Same as (or similar enough to) bug 792691 ?

(In reply to Wayne Mery (:wsmwk) from comment #1)

This reproduces for me.

It didn't repro for me using 115.7.0.

My STR:

  1. Sent myself a test message
  2. Deleted the test message
  3. Went to Trash folder
  4. Right-clicked the deleted message in the Trash folder and chose Delete Message and it disappeared

There is no "Empty Deleted" when I right-click on a message in the Trash folder, only when I right-click the Trash folder does the context menu present an "Empty Trash" menu choice. The user's STR are not quite right or possible.

I agree that it is a duplicate of the previous report. In response to Arthur, the bug exists for me with 115.7.0.
