Steps to reproduce:
When i double click the thunderbird icon in taskbar a new icon appears (double) instead of loading the icon in taskbar. i use linux mint wilma 22 and thunderbird version 128.0.1 ESR
Actual results:
Double icon
Expected results:
No double icon

Sounds like the desktop tried/tries to start Thunderbird twice? (And thus probably a bug there, not in Thunderbird.)

Thanks for reporting this. By any chance is this the same as bug 1904390 ? That bug was fixed in 128.1.0esr.
