Some users still report issues - thus far almost all linux and mac:

  • (linux) Bug 2005615, need feedback from user - Thunderbird consuming 50% CPU while seemingly idle, status bar shows progress bar and "No message to download". Nothing in Activity Manager
  • (linux) Bug 1993760, v149 performance profile needs developer analysis - Thunderbird uses 100% CPU on Graphics with status bar enabled
  • (linux) Bug 1794110, pop user, needs performance profile - High CPU usage in nsViewManager::ProcessPendingUpdatesPaint / webrender during mail server connection, only with status bar enabled
  • (mac) Bug 1963804, maybe resolved, need more info - High CPU load after compacting folders and Status bar enabled

Resolved:

  • (linux) Bug 1973621 WFM in 140.7.1esr per user, likely fixed by bug 1971648 (v141 and esr 140.3.1)- Thunderbird uses 100% CPU on Graphics with status bar enabled
