This would enable the user to keep all recipients of a message together for later management, for sends to all of them, and to avoid having to send a message to all of them as a way to collect all their addresses. One way the user might manage address collection would be to provide a kind of filter similar to those used to send messages to folders, but allowing the user to define rules for sending addresses to address books and to folders within those address books. It should be possible to use the filter manually to send addresses from folder to folder or to collect addresses from previously sent or received messages even though the addresses weren't collected at the time. This suggestion could also be tied to bug #194783.

Yes. This bug needs to be consolidated with bug 193397.

Any further action on this? It is still a priority for me. Adding addresses to an address folder one at a time is tedious, especially when there are scores of them in a Cc: line.

I really can't see how this depends on bug 85344 therefore I'm removing the dependency.
No longer depends on: 85344

This seems to be a duplicate of #93724. In any case, if this is still not implemented, it would be useful. In particular, I picture having something like an "add all to addressbook" context-menu-option for recieved messages with multiple recipients. Then, a 'filtering' dialog box appears, and shows a list of all the emails, and a checkbox next to each to add/not-add, and also perhaps some indication of whether each address is already in your addressbook (maybe show the name of the first abook entry w/a matching email-addr).
