In the "Fonts & Colors" control panel, the pull down menus for the various font
size preferences do not always show the font size number.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Fonts & Colors pref panel
2. look at the following pull down menus: Size (for proportional font), Size
(for monospace font), Minimum font size
3. Change the font sizes for all three menus

Actual Results:  
The Proportional font size and Minimum font size menus only show the selected
number if it's less than 10.  Values >= 10 are shown as ...

The Monospace font size menu never shows the number selected.

Expected Results:  
All three menus should always show the selected font size.

font size menus behaving incorrectly.  Top to bottom, the entered values are
16,13,14.  Also note that the two "Size (pixels)" menus are of slightly
different width.

A homebuilt OS X nightly with the new prefs panel still shows the same problem.

More experimenting shows this is not just a font panel error but an error with
XUL dropdown boxes in general.  See the followup attachment.  The last 3
characters are cut off (and replaced with an ellipsis if there are 3 or more).

This appears to be even worse than before, based on the previous descriptions. 
When selecting a new font, the dropdown truncates the font names, so I get one
entry that says 'Bitsream Vera Sans' and 8 entries that say 'Bitstream Vera Sans
...'.  There is no way to resize the window on MacOS like you can on Linux, so
this could be very confusing, especially with a lot of fonts installed.

See bug 203722. It is a theme issue. The Pinstripe theme, which will become the
default soon (I hope) fixes this.

hmm, how to resolve this bug, based on this info from the person designing the
actual theme.... guess I'll take the easy way out:

depends on bug 204733 (theme switch to Pinstripe for Mac)

once it lands, this should be marked fixed.

This is now fixed with the new Pinstripe theme.  The font size prefs show all
the numbers now.  However, comment #9 is still true.  Font names over a certain
length are truncated.  This length seems to be 20 characters since I see it with
"American Typewriter ..."  Because the font panel is a fixed size popup and not
a resizeable sheet like the main prefs panel, the user can't fix it.
