When a user enables enhanced tracking protection, that doesn't really change the experience of browsing the web. To both expose to what extent and which websites try to track you, and to highlight how Firefox can protect against that, we can highlight that action in the address bar.
We want to ensure that we don't obstruct being able to see the URL of the current website. Therefore, we should only show it when the address bar is wider than 800px, and collapse the message to just the number of trackers blocked after a short duration, and on repeat visits to the same website. The shield icon can still be clicked to see more details about the blocked trackers, just like today.

Backed out for causing failures on browser_tab_groups. Please fix also Bug 2056414 and Bug 2056407 before relanding.

Did you want to nominate this for the Fx155 relnotes? If so, set the relnote-firefox flag to "?"
https://wiki.mozilla.org/Release_Management/Release_Notes_Nomination
Possible wording:
The address bar now shows how many trackers Firefox has blocked, and the count can be turned off in Settings.
Release Note Request (optional, but appreciated)
[Why is this notable]: This will be visible in the address bar. Note that this is behind an experiment, so could it be marked as a progressive rollout?
[Affects Firefox for Android]: No
[Suggested wording]: Firefox now shows how many trackers it has blocked in the address bar, making built-in privacy protections easier to see as you browse. You can hide the count in settings without turning off tracker blocking.
