for the move and copy message operations, it would be nice if at the top of the
pull down menu, the last few (configurable) folders would be linked so that you
don't need to troll through the entire folder hierarchy.
evolution pops up a separate folder browser window for moves and copies, which
has the added benefit that you can create a new folder as part of the move
process. while that would be nice, the "memory" as described above would be a
nice start.

Updating summary to improve searchability
"MRU" = "most recently used"
Summary: remember last few folder on move/copy message operations → remember recent folder history (MRU) on move/copy message operations

From my write up of 261369:
I have 1000+ mail folders in a complex hierarchy. Clicking through the
folder navigation pane or the `Move To'/`Copy To' menu is tedious. When
filing mail I often find myself revisiting the same folders in a short
space of time. A short history of those folders would be useful.
I can see two places for this:
- The folder pane
Dedicate a section at the bottom for recently opened folders
for easy drag and drop.
- The `Move To' or `Copy To' menus
For easier filing and it would mean I could probably close the
folder pane.

additionally, a "favorite" folders window above the current folders frame,
similar to how outlook 2003 is set up, would help in this regard as well. when
you have lots of folders, in addition to copy/move being difficult, it's also
difficult to see other mail server folders to know if there's new mail.
with a favourites section, you could easily see the inboxes for all your mail
servers, as well as have easy access to often used folders.

Sorry for the annoyance, but can anybody tell me:
a) the quantity of MRU entries permitted?
b) whether the quantity is configurable?
From a practical standpoint, anything below 20 significantly reduces the utility for me.
The reason for the question: I am STILL on Mozilla 1.7.3 on RedHat 8. This feature would significantly add to the reasons to move up. However, moving up also means replacing RH8 which also means replacing the server hardware as well as upgrading or migrating several major software packages, databases, etc., etc.
