Bcc is no from Cc IMO

Related to bug 123362 (which was set to INVALID), which asked the same thing for
a message-filter.

In the mail you receive, there's no BCC-field (that's the reaosn why this header
exists), so there's nothing you can search on. The only place where such a
filter would work is in the Sent- and Draft-folders.

So... INVALID ?

correct, not for mail you receive.

correct (plus all the folders where you moved or copied such a sent message to.

I'm not asking for the same thing - bug 123362 is about filter and my request is
about search.  Search of course will only pick up Bcc for *sent* mail, not
received - and sent mail is what I want to find.

The point is to find sent messages where someone is bccED.

I voted for this: I'm using Bcc very frequently for outbound mail(to avoid email
addresses to be spread around), so I'd really love to search those too

Note that the QS criterion-dropdown is not currently part of Seamonkey -- 
TB only.

WFM with v3.1's quick filter which offers "Recipients" and works for bcc

I had an old test case set up in Drafts, where BCC is "blind" (sic), and quickfiltering for "blind" does not find the message.
Wayne, can you describe your test case for bcc?

ick, I suspect a faulty testcase. I don't think I have the original, and don't recall exactly what I did to test - perhaps it matched on something in subject

This bug is in a bad state:
- comment 0 has no STR and is incomprehensible -> incomplete
- a lot of misleading noise in subsequent comments
- outdated: Quick Search Dropdown has been replaced by Filter Bar as of TB 3.1 (for a potential revival of the space-saving Quick Filter Widget, possibly including a dropdown panel, see bug 570815)

Bugs in a bad state are unlikely to receive any action. This needs a fresh start.
