Currently it is not possible to specify the position of a toolbar. As in, the
Navigation Toolbar always displays on top, and I cannot shift it to the left/
bottom/ right. Similarly, the Status Bar always displays at the bottom, and I
cannot shift it ...

Making toolbars movable (along the top anyway) is bug 172818.
Being able to move the status bar from the bottom is already determined to be a
WONTFIX in bug 192473.

If Bugs <a href="http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=213672">213672</a>
(Implementing status bar as a normal toolbar) and <a
href="http://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=172818">172818</a> get
implemented, then wouldn't it automatically ensure that Status Bar can be moved
like normal toolbars.

Verified.
Bug 213672 has been made WONTFIX, so renders the last comment moot.
