User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030810 Mozilla Firebird/0.6.1+ Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030810 Mozilla Firebird/0.6.1+ On the test site the autoscroll cursor has a border around it, as defined on the page's stylesheet. As discussed on <a href="http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=148090">MZ</a>, probably just needs an !important in the browser stylesheet. Apologies is this is a Firebird only bug! I can reproduce this on: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030731 Mozilla Firebird/0.6.1

"style system" is for styles that are incorrectly applied. Styles that are applied correctly and just coded incorrectly by the chrome author are not style system bugs.

Confirming. No bug filed for this yet. Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.5b) Gecko/20030811 Mozilla Firebird/0.6.1+ This doesn't happen if you have the All-in-One Gestures extension installed.

It also affects Mozilla as well - I'm seeing it on version 1.4 here. [Build Information: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624]

Try scrolling on the page, and see how the graphic vanishes under the area

In addition to this, i've found that where a page sets a Z-Index value to an area, the autoscroll graphic vanishes underneath the area. This technique is shown by pages such as http://news.com.com/ and causes the graphic to dissapear, I've created a test case which I have added to this bug.
Please see here: http://bugzilla.mozdev.org/show_bug.cgi?id=3086 Assuming I chose a value that is in fact the largest possible (2^31 - 1, I assumed a signed 32-bit int), that solution should always work.

it still isn't fully fixed, try clicking your your middlemousebutton here http://www.xs4all.nl/~ppk/css2tests/display.html you can see that the border is gone, so that is fixed, but the icon isn't displayed in the middle of your mousecursor, it is displayed a few pixels to the lowerricht. It is displayed correctly on this page, so it has someting to do with the css.
