This may be related to the other bug dealing with odd behavior when no windows
are open but I'll file the report anyway. I've been noticing odd behavior when I
close all windows, then create new ones afterward. Cmd-L creates a location
dialog rather than focusing and selecting the in-page location control. The
status bar also doesn't display anything. In previous builds sometimes I
couldn't get anything to load and would have to restart Firebird to continue
browsing, but I haven't had a chance to check that out in the past few days,
since it's not as easily reproducible.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open Firebird.
2. Close all windows.
3. Create a new window (Cmd-N).
4. Hit Cmd-L and enter a url.

Actual Results:  
Cmd-L presents a dialog, the status bar remains blank during and after loading.
On occasion, nothing happens and I have to restart firebird in order to view
more pages.

Expected Results:  
Cmd-L should have selected the location text, the status bar should have shown
the current page load status, and pages should load consistently without
requiring a restart of firebird.

works for me, build 20031013.  try deleting your profile?  (first new window
problems also in bug 206456 and bug 206752.)

This is definitely a bug. I can confirm with build Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U;
PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.6a) Gecko/20031016 Firebird/0.7+

However it only opens the location dialog box with the "bad" first window opened
after closing all previous windows. It works normally in all subsequent windows.

So I suspect this is just another aspect of bug 206752

BTW, I confirmed the bug with a fresh profile.

Regardless, it should probably be duped against bug 206752.

Fixed 20031024 Firebird/0.7+ (see bug 223331). Needs to be set as fixed or duped
to that bug.
