I have these eMails organized by thread. Often times I need to delete 20 to 50 messags at once. If I click on the the thread symbol, I can delete the entire thred at once. Problem: I can not use the CTRL key to select multiple threads. Would you consider adding this functionality? Many thanks, --Tony Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. 2. 3.
I have the same problem. In a collapsed threaded view, I shift-highlight a consecutive set of threads, just the first message in each thread gets deleted. This is how it feels in a folder with a lot of threads. + thread one has 5 messages thread two has one message + thread three has 2 messages + thread four has 3 messages Highlight all 4 threads, press delete. Now you see + thread one thread three + thread four Highlight all 3 threads, press delete. Now you see + thread one thread four Highlight 2 remaining threads, press delete. Now you see + thread one Multiply that process 20 times for a large folder with a lot of threads. I'm just hoping this isn't a design decision...it's probably one of those longstanding weird-ass open source UI debates, where someone has decided we don't do the obvious thing and delete the whole thread at a time, because [insert random reason here].
Ah. Is this a dupe of bug 235389? Which may be a dupe of bug 65111 (although that's for Mozilla Mail, not Thunderbird)?
Ctrl-click on the Thread icon *does* now select multiple threads, altho it can't be used to remove an entire thread from the selection. You can Ctrl-click on individual messages to deselect them. Comment 1 and 2 are about a different issue. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 88593 ***
