Adding the "updates" button to the toolbar via "customize toolbar" causes the
menu to remain disabled. The "customize" context menu is also disabled.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. View > Toolbars > Customize
2. Drag "Updates" button to main toolbar
3. Click "Done"

Actual Results:

Expected Results:
Menu should have become enabled again.

Is this button a feature in the browser? I don't see it in a clean profile.
Perhaps it is added by an extension?
You can't + this, only ?
And PR1 will be out in a matter of hours.

I haven't used the blocker flags before. Sorry.

It was my understanding that releases were bug driven. It was also my
understanding that PR1 was scheduled for Tuesday.
Chris, thanks for the bug report and the blocking flag attempt. To request that
the Aviary team take a look at the bug, use the "?" not the "+" flag. We
evaluate the "?" bugs and set them to "+" or "-".

Where did you find that button? I can't even seem to find it in the pane.

Reporter, did you remove location bar? If so, that's Bug 259058.
As you can see in the attached screenshot, the location bar is there. You can
also see that the updates button has been added to the toolbar and that the
menu is disabled.

This behavior happens in my old (0.9.x) profile where I always see the updates
button (i.e., I did not experience the bug where it is not visible in the
customize pane).
This is probably a very edge case and tied to a behavior (being able to
customize the button when it's visible) that I think we're going to block for
1.0. That's ben's call but I don't think we're going to block the RC for this.

This problem seems to have been fixed as of the following build.

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.3) Gecko/20041002
Firefox/0.10
ok then we will move it off the blocking radar.

marking w4m per reporter --pls reopen if this still occurs with a recent build.
thanks!
