Thunderbird should not require Outlook to be installed, and be set as the
default email handler in order to import messages. It should be able to extract
them directly from a PST file.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Tools > Import > Mail > File/Folder(?) > PST
Actual Results:
There is no File/Folder > PST. I'd have to install MS Outlook AND set it as the
default mail application in order to import the messages. The process works,
but it is quite lengthy as an Outlook installation - and the app itself - are
nowhere near as streamlined as Thunderbird.

Expected Results:
There should be an option to import messages from a file or folder. From there
PST should be an option.

I've left this issue set as Normal instead of Minor because there really is no
easy workaround. See some of the google results for several hacks all of which
require either Outlook or Outlook express. (
