User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.0; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051107 Firefox/1.5
Build Identifier: Thunderbird version 1.5 (20051025)
A filter automatically moves some mail from Inbox (using global inbox) to specific folders based on the address it was sent to. Normally, these folders get an unread mail flag. These folders intermittently fail to show unread mail until clicked on. Problem started with Thunderbird 1.5 RC1 and was not observed previously.
Reproducible: Sometimes
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Filter to move mail from Inbox to folder based on address sent to
2. Download some new mail
3. Mail is moved correctly but folder may not show unread messages

I see at least a subset of the problems in the original report in Thunderbird 1.5.0.7 with no extensions or themes under Windows XP SP2 fully patched, but sporadic and not reproducible. I get mail from a POP server, have filter rules that move some if it to local folders, and sometimes the folder does not get bolded as having unread messages (if it starts out with no unread messages) and the unread message count does not get updated (even if showed some unread messages at first). Clicking on the folder causes it to get updated properly.

Reporter, does the issue still occur in the latest supported 2.0.0.x / Shredder trunk nightlies?
(1.5.0.x is now end-of-life and the latest supported 2.0.0.x is 2.0.0.16)
