Build Identifier: version 1.5 (20051025)
Dragging a selected portion of text to the beginning of a line which already contains text (including the line originally containing the text) results in the loss of the text!
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a new message
2. Type one(CR)two(CR)three (i.e. three lines, one word on each line)
3. Select any of the three words, and attempt to drag it to the beginning of either of the other two lines.
or
3. Select any portion of text, and attempt to drag it to the beginning of a line (including the line it's currently in.)
Actual Results:
Text which is dragged disappears from original location, but does not appear at new location!
Expected Results:
Text should move from original location to new location.
Command-Z (Undo) reverses the damage.
Dragging text to any other location than the beginning of a line is successful.
Reproducible with SeaMonkey 1.0a and Mozilla 1.8b2/20050617 but WFM with Mozilla
1.8b2/20050616 and Mozilla 1.8b1, seems to be the same problem as Suite bug 300427 comment 3.
