We need to make sure that an IE7 user who tries Firefox has a good migration experience. A quick skim of existing bugs indicates that the existing migration code doesn't handle IE7 well at all.

This all does also apply for Internet Explorer 8. Jim, I think there is no difference, or?

We've got a comment on http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Importing+favorites+and+other+data+from+Internet+Explorer saying "This doesn't work with IE8".
Can someone address Henrik's question in comment 5?

I can't find much of anything on this through searching. Potentially this was fixed by bug 575591?(In reply to comment #5)

No difference, this is the general bug for any migration issues with ie.

I don't think we still need this tracking bug, it was created to provide a decent migration experience from IE7 and we're almost at 10.
Plus, the list of bugs in Firefox/Migration is short enough to be able to find relevant bugs for each browser source.
