Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; fr-FR; rv:1.8.1.4) Gecko/20070515 Firefox/2.0 MEGAUPLOAD 1.0 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; fr-FR; rv:1.8.1.4) Gecko/20070515 Firefox/2.0 MEGAUPLOAD 1.0 Firefox does not open files that contain Unicode characters in their paths, unless the file is dragged and dropped or located via the built-in explorer. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Go to the page http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%CE%93-%E3%82%A2%E3%83%9F%E3%83%8E%E9%85%AA%E9%85%B8, go to File -> Save as... and save it exactly as it appears named in the program (Γ-アミノ酪酸.html). OR Create a text file and name it "Γ-アミノ酪酸.txt". 2. Make the download manager open the file you just saved in Firefox OR Locate the file "Γ-アミノ酪酸.txt" in Windows explorer and make it open with Firefox (just don't drag and drop). Actual Results: The following error occurs: "File not found: Firefox cannot locate the file in the following address: /C:/My Documents/G-?????.htm". Expected Results: The file should have opened. Drag and drop and built-in explorer handle Unicode files flawlessly though.
Confirmed with Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.9a7pre) Gecko/2007071305 Minefield/3.0a7pre ID:2007071305, when double clicking the saved wiki page FF try to open "G-%3F%3F%3F%3F%3F.htm" and not "Γ-アミノ酪酸.htm" but no error here. There are some existing bugs but they are fixed : bug 204084, bug 304498, bug 310880, bug 316168
