don't search by tag in the bookmarks sidebar?

in bug #393584, faaborg writes:

"I think it is important for the user to understand why their results match the
search they entered.  So I would argue that the search field in the bookmarks
sidebar should only match against title, since that is the only information
displayed.

if they want to search against everything else, they can use the bookmarks
organizer, or the location bar."

note, with my landing for bug #395462 (see bug #395452 for the patch), we are now searching on tags.

This is WONTFIX.

What we really want is to show stars and tags in the bookmark sidebar; is there a bug on that?

there is one for history (see bug #405276), but I'm not sure about bookmarks.

I'll log a new bug about that, but note, for a bookmarks search, everything would always be starred, unless it was tagged.

Bug 451915 - move Firefox/Places bugs to Firefox/Bookmarks and History. Remove all bugspam from this move by filtering for the string "places-to-b-and-h".

In Thunderbird 3.0b, you do that as follows:
Tools | Message Filters
Make sure the correct account is selected. Click "New"
Conditions: Body   contains   places-to-b-and-h
Change the action to "Delete Message".
Select "Manually Run" from the dropdown at the top.
Click OK.

Select the filter in the list, make sure "Inbox" is selected at the bottom, and click "Run Now". This should delete all the bugspam. You can then delete the filter.
