Not sure if this is an issue for me only, but, if a Firefox restart is initiated through the addon manager (or perhaps through any other parts of Firefox requiring a restart, cannot think of any off the top of my head), my saved cookies are lost.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Login to a website which allows the option to save your login details
2. Install a new add-on, update an add-on, or remove an add-on
3. Select Restart on the dialog box that appears
4. Login to all your saved websites again
Actual Results:  
Cookies lost, have to re-login to all sites.

Expected Results:  
Cookies remain.

Upgraded from 2.x.

Just my luck no one will be able to reproduce ;).

P.S- I did look at similar bug reports, such as:

However they don't appear to apply to my issue, as closing and re-opening Firefox manually does not reproduce the above noted issue :)

Same here. Restarting Ffox after an extension update or with the Restart Firefox extension clears all cookies. Closing and starting it manually keeps them (like I've configured it). IIRC this did not happen with RC1 and RC2.

I can confirm this behaviour on two machines: Both running Firefox 3.0 final.

Machine 1: Ubuntu 8.04
Machine 2: Windows Vista Home Premium

Additional information:

Essentialy i use the same profile on both machines. They have been copied some time ago and are now used seperately. So it may have something to do with my profile.

I created a new profile and imported my bookmarks, cookies and passwords and installed all extensions i need. Everything seems to work fine for now. So my guess would be it had something to do with my profile.
