This bug deals with the potential productization changes for the getting
started page.

Read bug #428145 for the rationale.

If you think your locale needs to have some link changes in the above bug,
propose them here for approval. If you don't, just close the bug.
hi. here are some guidelines for other suggestions
http://wiki.mozilla.org/Firefox_3/In-Product_Pages#Getting_Started_page

Also for your reference some locales have chosen to include cultural links of importance or interest to users. For example check out bug 428171.

I will do some research on suggestions and post back. If you have recommendations, please let me know :)
I wonder that all of those tabs (work, learn, play and connect) are necessary or not? like I see in Japanese's central (http://mozilla.jp/firefox/central/) it's no tab, but random selection display instead.

To me, Thai users are expected to see Thai language website on central page. But I'm curious about the criteria of selection web site to put on Mozilla central page. For example, do remember the milk needs to pay to mozilla for put the link on that page?

For Thai getting start page, put a localised global services like google docs, wikipedia thai (http://th.wikipedia.org), facebook are definitely no issue.
CCing Stas who is going to work on this field. Stas can you provide Patipat with explanations so as that we can all move forward? Thanks
stas, ping

I propose Google Maps Thailand (http://google.co.th) to be a Gumtree's replacement in connect section http://th.www.mozilla.com/th/firefox/central/#feature-connect.
Taking this bug.

Patipat, to anwser your questions:
>I wonder that all of those tabs (work, learn, play and connect) are necessary or not?

Yes they are on mozilla.com where we are looking for consistency and maintainability across the many languages hosted.

>To me, Thai users are expected to see Thai language website on central page. But I'm curious about the criteria of selection web site to put on Mozilla central page. For example, do remember the milk needs to pay to mozilla for put the link on that page?

The links are not sold, we favour indeed websites in the user language, so in Thai for you.

The googgle pas thailand could be a good candidate indeed, any other suggestion?
Patipat, ping
Pascal, pong.

We're working on that. I wish we can finish all sections at once :)
Keng, any news ? ;)
Pppppascal :)

I'll raise this issue on thai team weekly meeting this thursday :)

sorry for delay :)
thanks :)
just my curiosity...

can we make thai page as simple as japanese?

http://mozilla.jp/firefox/central/
if possible, i'd prefer us to keep the common format we have for all locales for this one since it is already long time overdue ;).
ohohoh. ok :)

Keng, do you still intend to update that page with Thai specific links or can I close this bug?
Should I provide the patch? How about the logo?
yes please provide a patch and attach logos needed to this bug, thanks :)
since we're going to firefox 4 should we close this bug as WONTFIX and i'll finalise all the things for firefox 4 instead.

but will this page will be used for firefox 4?
The English page is not ready therefore we will use this older version so as to have a fallback solution and not delay the release of Firefox 4 for satellite pages.
