Details

User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.0; en-GB; rv:1.9.0.5) Gecko/2008120122 Firefox/3.0.5 Build Identifier: 2.0.0.19 (20081209) Everytime I leave Thunderbird open and minimize it to the system tray, after a while it plays the new mail sound through the computer speakers, and and the envelope appears amongst the task icon tray (bottom right). When I open the mail client to see my new email message - there isn't one! It generally occurs when the mail client checks to see if there is any new email after the interval set in the settings pane. "Local folders" is always selected - never "inbox" or "sent items" etc. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Thunderbird. 2. Minimise to system tray. 3. Wait for thunderbird to check if there are any new messages. Expected Results: Not to get my hopes up!
Are there any filters that might be getting the messages? Did anything show up in your spam folder?
I dont have a spam folder or any local filters. The accounts that Thunderbird receive email from are 1x Yahoo! and 1x Gmail account; I don't know if that has anything to do with it.
This looks like Bug 458232
