Since today Firefox doesn't import bookmarks anymore. Also the "default browser" dialog is not shown.
It has the same regression range as bug 473814: http://hg.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/pushloghtml?startdate=2009-01-14+00%3A00%3A00&enddate=2009-01-14+12%3A00%3A00

Steps to reproduce:

- Start Firefox with a new profile (I tried only a non-relative profile location)

Even if you put a bookmarks.html in the profile, it will not import the bookmarks and show no default browser dialog.

WFM on current trunk, could have been a bad upgrade?
I never upgrade Marco. Just installed an hourly from http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/tinderbox-builds/mozilla-central-win32/
The problem doesn't occur in branch hourlies indeed.

I only tested the zips.
maybe a bad hourly then?
Can you reproduce with nightlies?
we can probably restrict between b93de60dcb8e and 239d33c00bad since you saw the issue in a trybuild i generated at the same time.
This seems to be a duplicate of Bug 473760, at least partially.
