so maybe the MacOSFontEntry crash only affects Firefox 3.0.x, and its a possible long standing bug just made worse in Mac OS X 10.6.

anyone know what the market breakdown is between 10.6 and 10.5 right now? that would help calibrate some of these daily crash numbers. I'm guessing the numbers of 10.6 users out there is still small relative to 10.5, but I might be wrong.

It may also be due to a corrupt font; I've heard anecdotal evidence of some people having trouble with 10.6 upgrades ending up with some corrupt fonts.

Camino auto-update pings are showing about 4:1 for 10.5:10.6. YMMV.

No, that's bug 514114.

Well, any ___TERMINATING_DUE_TO_UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION___ crashes on 10.6.x with versions of Firefox prior to 3.0.12 are very likely to be the same crash as bug 512834, because those Firefox versions include a version of the JEP that is incompatible with Java. ("___TERMINATING_DUE_TO_UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION___" used to be in bug 512834's summary for the purposes of Socorro-Bugzilla integration, but it was removed, so now Socorro only finds the old Camino bookmarks import crash instead.) From your numbers, it looks like the JEP crash could cover all but 16 of the crashes in that signature done OS-wise and 36 of them version-wise.

I've opened bug 525566 to track the ___TERMINATING_DUE_TO_UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION___ crashes in Java-related cases that can't be explained by bug 512834. Crashes with this crash signature persist on 10.6 in current Firefox/Camino versions (which all have a compatible JEP) and also appear on 10.5 (where there was not a JEP incompatibility to begin with).
