This is not really a bug, but depends on individual taste of each one of us. Mine are only proposals.
So far I have used Windows XP and Linux: the 2 themes are very similar (and very beautiful).
Now I have to leave Windows XP to Windows 7, the theme of Windows 7 does not seem very consistent with the other 2 (although I know it's done to make it more like Aero, but it's worth it? I think no, I would prefer the 3 themes were consistent with each other and represent the brand Thunderbird, as far as possible, regardless of the operating system).
For example:
1. sent icon not has stamp nor in compose window nor in folders pane as in qtue and gnomestripe;
2. the "yellow" folder color is too tenuous (I know it is for better Aero congruence, but the yellow of folders in Windows XP or Linux don't reflect yellow of folders for OS: and it is better);
3. similar to point 2 the blue for folder search is too tenuous;
4. the delete icon (on toolbar, message header etc) not is beautiful as in Windows XP theme: the delete icon i Windows XP theme look very better;
5. the trash icon reflect the trash folder for Windows 7, but isn't the rule of others theme. In windows XP not is the same icon of OS (and is better ;-) )
6. personal opinion: address book, back, forward, paste icons are better on Windows XP theme than Windows 7.

Using that approach, we would make the OS X theme use the same icons as well. The icons are meant to reflect the style of the operating system and not stick out too much. This was also the logic behind using the same style for XP as Linux, as it was closer to the XP look than the aero icons were.
Thanks for the feedback, and please file individual bug reports on specific icons!

Ok I fill a bug for each icon: then you can decide whether to close them as invalid, wontfix, or otherwise.
Hello and thanks for your patience ;-)

I meant individual report about specific reports on real issues with some current icons (like you did in bug 532067 where the current icon lacks details), not 10 bugs saying "the XP icon looks better". :)

For some I try to be more precise later, anyway close as Invalid those which do not seem acceptable for you. ;-)
