We need to start supporting videos. I hope to put these on videos.mozilla.org or another CDN. Supported formats are ogv and webm. No details on max size or implementation details yet. We need more clarification before moving forward, but filing this as a place holder.

Kicking to 5.12.1. There is discussion going on.
Target Milestone: 5.12 → 5.12.1

Discussion was not fruitful. Let's revisit this in Q1 or Q2.

Discussion has borne fruit!
Our plan is to accept only Youtube URLs using youtube-nocookie and oembed. An example:
http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/oembed?url=http%3A//youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3DM3r2XDceM6A&format=json
When the user clicks on the video on AMO, it'll launch a video-sized popup, thus avoiding our mitm concerns.
