filing this per conversation with seth. consider this a companion to bug 62870. mozilla/6.x doesn't provide a context menu for plain text mail composition. in 4.7x on winNT, a context menu is available for plain text message compose. [but not, alas, on mac or linux 4.7x.] it contained the following items: Undo Cut Copy Paste Delete Select All could this be implemented XP for mozilla/6.x? thx!
Why aren't we automatically inheriting the context menu used for other text fields?

NS4 does have composing context menu. And this feature can't be excluded from any serious Mozilla 1.0 specification, imho. Could you add 4xp and Mozilla1.0 keywords ?

My fix for that fixed this.

Oh, but I didn't realize there was a spec for this. The context menu I added is: Undo --- Cut Copy Paste Paste as Quotation Delete --- Select All I just wanted to get the bare minimum functionality up. Why aren't Undo and Select All in the context menu, per the spec? Anyway, someone can assign a bug about making it match the spec to me, if they'd like.
Verified on Linux, Win 2K, Mac OSX. new bug 122410 to match the spec.
