can you please turn on nagios monitoring for redis01.build.scl1.mozilla.com it should at least have checks for ping, load and 'check_redis' (which checks that redis-server is running)
Hey, catlee, is the check_redis just a process check? If so, I'd like to use the standard one we use for other services instead of creating a custom definition on each of the nagios servers.
yeah, it's just check_procs -c 1:1 redis-server
Okay, I've added the standard checks (ntp, ping, swap, load, and disk for /). This machine doesn't appear to be running ntp at the moment. Can you add that into the puppet manifest for it, please?

Sorry, I was adding checks for rabbit and redis at the same time. Redis looks fine. :}
