Using recent builds (currently using 2001032809), certain items in the
Preferences menu stretch beyond the right side of the window. You can increase
the width of the window, but this shouldn't be necessary.
The b0rken items are:
Navigator:
History
Bookmarks
Smart Browsing -> Location Bar Autocomplete (actually stretches a bit *below*
the "allowed" area, instead of to the right)
Mail and Newsgroups
Message Display
This is most critical in the Navigator -> History menu, where certain widgets
are actually pushed too far out of the menu to be clicked, and some are only
half-visible.

Fixed the history pane by re-wording some of the text. I think this will read
better anyways. Other panes to follow.

hm, i coulda sworn there was a meta bug for these "prefs panels content too
wide" --for example, bug 70296. however, i couldn't find one. cc'ing some folx,
in case they might know...
i'd be happy to make this the meta bug. it'd be great to track these issue as
separate/individual bugs [which would block this one] --namely since the panels
within the Preferences dialog are owned by many people in several different groups.

sr=ben, but I suggest changing 'Filing Bookmarks' to 'Adding Bookmarks' to sync
better with your change to the bookmarks checkbox.

just checked on Mac OS X with 2001.08.29.05-comm with both modern and classic
themes: the contents of the mailnews panels do fit now.
i'll vrfy later on 9.1...

testing on mac os 9.1 [emul over os x], 2001.09.04.11-comm: the mailnews pref
panels all look fine in modern. however, in classic the Send Format panel still
spills beyond the bottom border. i'll go see if there's an existing/open bug for
that before reopening this one...

methinks bug 80415 would cover the Send Format panel. vrfying this one; will add
screenshot in the other.
