(Whiteboard: [testing])

We would like to setup 3 Windows 8 machines on scl1 (re-purpose 3 centos 6 machines) with graphic cards as Windows 8 testers.
This hw does not mean that it will be the final hw we will run on but it will do the leg work with releng code and GPO (I believe we would like to use that but correct me if wrong).

Could you please take the graphic cards of these 3 machines (from bug 691856)

and install them on these 3 centos 6 machines on scl1?
bld-centos6-hp-040
bld-centos6-hp-041
bld-centos6-hp-042

I just chose the last 3.

I would also need Windows 8 to be installed on them.

Please correct me if I got anything wrong or anything that cannot be done.

Thanks!
Using the same naming pattern, I'm going to start by changing the hostnames/inventory/dns entries of these machines and their iLO to:

talos-w8-hp-00N (where N is 1-3)
talos-w8-hp-00N-mgmt (where N is 1-3)

They will live in the new releng.ad.mozilla.com domain but have build.mozilla.org CNAMEs like all the other releng machines.

Dustin, can you change the switch ports for these (primary and mgmt) so that they're on the winbuild vlan and then pass this bug off to maru to do the hardware bit and get w8 installed?

ports changed, and vlan69 plumbed from core2.

GFX cards installed next step is to get Windows 8 on them.

These slaves were still enabled in slavealloc and taking jobs. I've since disabled them.

And why did we have bld-centos6-hp-0[43-50] in slavealloc if they don't exist? That's just sloppy..
putting these on winbuild as we aren't ready to cut everything over to releng.ad.mozilla.com

And I didn't update the bug earlier, but i put these on vlan40, not 69.
I moved the ilo to vlan 40 too. They didn't come back up, so Matt's heading to scl1 to investigate.
These boxes are all setup and ready to be worked with. 10.12.40.[71,72,73]

This is more than excellent. Thanks a lot!

I will ping MaRu on IRC.

MaRu and I were trying to figure out why I can't RDP into these machines.

It seems I can reach it but I cannot connect:
[armenzg@dev-master01 build-master]$ nc -vz 10.12.40.71 3389
Connection to 10.12.40.71 3389 port [tcp/ms-wbt-server] succeeded!

After a minute or two a login prompt shows up but I can't login.
I used "cltbld" account with the password that MaRu got me.

Try a different client - remote desktop vs. cord on a mac
It seems that the user was "mozilla" rather than "cltbld".

Cord would crash upon login. The login screen gave away the login user :D

Thanks!
