also worth noting is that the first bookmark, the about:firefox, disables the back button, so it can feel like the user is stuck...on a big blank white screen.

Hi Asa, want to confirm if the list contained in Comment #5 of Bug 791706 is the set of default bookmarks:  https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=791706#c5

If so, this can come out of planning.

Those are search defaults. We have a bug on that independent of this, which I just added to the preview list. 

This is about the default set of bookmarks on the start screen. It'll need to be coordinated with the web dev team.

per triage, we're not going to add new bookmarks. If we decide to add new bookmarks in the future we can file new bugs.
