Like optionally ignoring resources loaded from external domains, only showing external resources, or showing both (maybe even more fine grained with/without subdomains).

I think that a simple textbox that allows for searching through requests would be the best approach here. Similar to how the Web Console's search box works: plain text, nothing fancy.

What's the difference to bug 930631 then? I'd expect this issue to cover filtering the requests while 930631 covers searching and highlighting the results as in Firebug.

Also, does this cover filtering by regular expressions? There's a related request for Firebug for that.[1]

I'd say bug 930631 is a dupe. The searchbox should be smart enough to handle regexes, eventually, but that can be done in a followup.
