Setup: * Firefox 23.0a1 as of May 8th * New profile, no addons * Select "When Nightly starts: Show my windows and tabs from last time" * State of "Don't load tabs until selected" is irrelevant (tested), but is set to enabled here for demonstration. STR: * Starting the browser and loaded three different websites in three tabs. * Close the browser and wait a few minutes. * Reopen the browser; the session is restored, last selected tab gets loaded, two tabs remain unloaded. === Observed behaviour: Opening the history and checking "today", the visit date of the website in the activated tab is unchanged. To rule out any involvement of the cache, I've emptied them and then activated another unloaded tab. The "visit date" of that one wasn't changed, too. With the last tab, I tried to activate it by selecting "Reload tab" in the tab's context menu, but this didn't change the "visit date" either. Manually hitting F5 or the reload-button in an activated tab is changing the "visit date" as expected. === Expected behaviour: The "visit date" should be changed to the time when the unloaded tabs are activated. === Notes: When using many sessions (i.e. with SessionManager or TabMix Plus), the wrong "visit date" gets confusing and plain wrong when months- or year-old sessions are used and loaded on a regular basis (re: frecency).

Still happening as of Nightly 2013-10-01.

Still happening with 2013-12-04. With this attachment, reproducing this bug is easier. Sites in this session: mozilla.org, nightly.mozilla.org, google.com Set Nightly to "Show my windows and tabs from last time" and clean the cache. Close Nightly and place the sessionstore.js in the profile-folder. Start Nightly and watch the sites being loaded _from scratch_. Now check the History and the "Most recent visit" column, the sites won't appear as the latest entries. If you do this with a clean profile, the three URLs won't even be saved to the history after restoring the session.

Better session. And a correction for the previous comment: > Set Nightly to "Show my windows and tabs from last time", uncheck "Don't load tabs until selected" > and clean the cache. Reproducible with Nightly 2014-01-19.

Still unresolved. How difficult can this be to correct?
