User Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux i686 on x86_64; rv:17.0) Gecko/17.0 Firefox/17.0 SeaMonkey/2.14 Build ID: 20121118021532 Steps to reproduce: Scheduled an event (e.g. by double-clicking a day on the calendar). Actual results: It filled in a default start time that is apparently the next hour after the current time. This makes no sense -- there is no reason to think that the current time (rounded up to the next hour) on a different day is when I would really want to schedule the event. Expected results: No default value should be provided for the start/end time because there is no sensible default -- the user should be forced to enter/select a value. I realize this seems like nitpicking, but it really encourages the user to make mistakes as-is. Likewise, the Title should not default to "New Event" -- it should be blank and the user should not be able to schedule an event without entering something. Currently, it is very easy for the user to forget to enter the start/end time and end up with an appointment on the calendar at the wrong time. It is very easy for the user to forget to enter an event title and end up with "New Event" on the calendar and find themselves days later unable to remember what that event was supposed to be.

I agree, the "next hour after the current time" default drives me crazy.

But instead of forcing the user to choose a time, I would prefer to default to ALL DAY.
