I think it would be great if you could be able to enable and disable javascript and java fromt he task bar. This could be done via an indicator icon like the lock symbol for a page that secure or not, it could be beside it. The java one could be a cup of coffie, full with steam comming out of it for enabled and emtpy for disabled, andjavascripts symbol would be some sort of script icon maybe with an x through it for disabled and no x for enabled. beig able to enable and disable them quickly via icon on taskbar would be usefull as say you normally have them enabled but need to have it enabled to view a site. Also since for them to be seen you must reload the page, then if you press one of the buttons to enable it, it should auto reload the page to activate it (perhaps have an option to do this or not)

Dup of bug 15148 or bug 20826.
this sounds like a specific case of bug 20826 of which 15148 is a dupe. There may be a depends relationship - but not necessarily a dupe.
Blocks: 20826
Making this block bug 20826, because that's how I did it with bug 61710 ("show images" button).
There should be a sidebar for "hacker prefs" - things advanced users want at their fingertips. Then, they can pull the sidebar out whenever necessary, without cluttering the general UI. Gerv
I've been longing for this feature, it would be *very* nice. The only thing, I think that taskbar is not the right place for it. Many users have taskbar turned off, and there is talk of abolishing it altogether. I think that an optional toolbar button is a better idea for this feature.
The taskbar no longer exists. Marking as a dup of bug 87538, [RFE] preferences buttons on status bar. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 87538 ***
