Details
The pageup/down keys and the mouse wheel don't scroll a new window that's opened
by clicking a link from another Macintosh application. You must click in the
newly created topmost window first to set the focus to the content. To reproduce:
Go to another Macintosh application and click on a link that will send an event
to Netscape 6 and open a new topmost window displaying a web page. If the
window has a scroll bar, the PageUp and PageDown keys will not scroll the page.
The mouse wheel won't work either until you click in the window.

Yes, this bug still occurs using today's trunk build. The focus is set to the
location bar instead of the window content, preventing one from scrolling the
window using the keyboard or a mouse wheel.

Yep, I've had this problem too. I usually use arrow keys to scroll up/down, but
the page doesn't have focus so nothing happens.

Seems like this is a nice to fix issue since there is a workaround (clicking in
the window). Don't know the relative schedule of other Mac usability-type work
so it's hard for me to evaluate the priority of this against all other nominated
bugs in this space. Chris-do you have a sense for that?

There's a similar problem on WinNT, using 1.0.RC1 (and previous versions).
My specific testcase is to open a link from Outlook (any email/app using the
OS's http: calls would probably do it, too). The newly opening window has URL
focus instead of document focus.
Should a separate Windows-specific bug be opened? Or, can this bug be expanded
to OS="ALL"?

FYI - my WinNT testcase is now OK, using build 2002-04-29 (pre-1.0 branch)

This bug is targeted at a Mac classic platform/OS, which is no longer supported
by mozilla.org. Please re-target it to another platform/OS if this bug applies
there as well or resolve this bug.
I will resolve this bug as WONTFIX in four weeks if no action has been taken.
To filter this and similar messages out, please filter for "mac_cla_reorg".

I can't reproduce this bug using a recent build in MacOS X.
Due to the fact that we don't work on MacOS Classic anymore since Moz1.3.1, I
mark this bug "WFM".
