==================================================================================
updated, public version of this doc

https://wiki.mozilla.org/WebAPI#Planned_for_initial_release_of_B2G_.28aka_Basecamp.29

vkrishnamoorthy@mozilla.com will be able to work with you to get the very latest. he is the product manager for WebRT and cross platform APIs. he keeps an internal doc here and can talk it through with you and give you access:

https://docs.google.com/a/mozilla.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Ai-0RzEinLx8dC00cVRDVmhndlBMYVZDYm0wOGNxUEE&usp=sharing#gid=0

What problems would this solve?
===============================
we are launching two projects through which developers both short and long tail will need to understand how apis will perform across platform.

Who would use this?
===================
Projects

1) Flatfish (ask me if you need to know details beyond the code name) - the Flatfish team is starting to test our capabilities cross platform and this would be exceedingly useful when they launch their developer program in this very sizable market (call me if you want more details)

2) Synthetic APKs on android - this other project will give us lots of exposure with android app devs who also watch Firefox Nightly, Aurora, etc

What would users see?
=====================
a cross platform comparison of what apis work on which platform

What would users do? What would happen as a result?
===================================================
they would be able to develop apps cross platform understanding what apis are accessible / not accessible through the webrt

Is there anything else we should know?

Andrew - wanting to make sure the api documentation is up to date - khuey recommended your eyes on before MDN creates updated dev docs

Caitlin, you and vkrishnamoorthy@mozilla.com, should come on the weekly doc-webapi meeting on Fridays 5pm BST in Sheppy's vidyo room.

This is where doc about webapi is coordinated since months.
https://wiki.mozilla.org/WebAPI should line up as well...

re:
Jean-Yves - thank you!
*looks up BST*
:-)
The wiki page was correct at one point :) I'll work on any necessary updates. I'm also going to try to automate the verification so it's not so tedious the next time.

The doc calls are at 9 Pacific, Caitlin.

Andrew -
Were you able to connect with Vishy to review this latest info?
As Product Manager for cross platform APIs - I believe his doc is the latest info we have...

I've been updating the table myself, taking notes so others are able to do it in the future :) I haven't spoken with Vishy since I didn't know that was asked of me, sorry!

I have very few changes, FWIW.

What I'd love to see is this information live in only one place. I think MDN is probably the best place for that, assuming we can capture the same information we already have on the wiki and future plans like Worker availability.

How does that sound?

Okay, table is updated and all my notes for how to determine the information is in comments:

Thanks to Ehsan for some help!

Let me know if there are questions when transitioning this info to MDN. Once it's there, let's drop the wiki table and just point to the MDN page.
Andrew -
Who do we assign this bug to in order to ensure the MDN work is completed?
Flags: needinfo?(overholt)
It's already signed to sheppy and I imagine that's correct or at least a good first start.

1:33 hi so each of the API itself has now a compatibility table and reflects current status
