The Meta Bug for the Whiteboard Tag Amnesty of 2016

To participate:

1. Create a bug for the whiteboard tag you use which you want turned into a keyword.

2. That bug should have the keyword and the keyword's description.

3. Make sure your keyword doesn't conflict with existing keywords, so be prepared to rename it. If your keyword is semantically similar to an existing keyword we'll talk you about a mass change to your bugs.

4. Add your new bug as a dependency on this bug. 

5. CC Emma Humphries on the bug

We will turn your whiteboard tag into a keyword and remove your keyword from the whiteboard tags, so make sure your dashboards and other tools that consume Bugzilla's API are updated to account for this.

This work stalled out and I want to get it unstuck. It sounded like we were blocked by two things:

1. Bug changes created noise for some consumers
2. Keyword searches were not as fast as we thought
