Feature description:  The use of push notifications to support the Send Tab feature. (better description tbd)

Need testing completed by: Firefox iOS v8.0, with estimated ship date of July 21st (approx. 3 weeks of engineering left, and 4 weeks of stabilization - as of the end of May)

June 15th Update from Stefan:

We have the first version of Firefox iOS 8.0 Beta on TestFlight that contains support for AutoPush and the Send Tab feature. This work is not fully completed yet, we are working on the P1 bugs listed in the following query:

But this is a good time for QA to start looking at this feature and to give us feedback.

Note that the only build where this feature works currently is Firefox Beta 8.0 (build 3991) that you can get via TestFlight. To get people on TestFlight, please send Stefan a list with email addresses, and I will send invites around immediately.

Some tests have been edited and you can check them in the Testrail under the FxA component, in the Functionality section ( Link to TestRail: https://testrail.stage.mozaws.net/index.php?/suites/view/424&group_by=cases:section_id&group_order=asc&group_id=3633 ). Please let us know if you have any other suggestions.

Furthermore, we'll keep Catalin and Simon in CC since they are the main iOS testers and they will help me out with testing this feature on the client side. 

Catalin and Simon are already on our 'Internal TestFight' for Firefox Beta. So it should be easy for them to do builds. Simon, Catalin, you can also do your down v8.x builds using the Fennec target if you want to have the latest of the latest. Let's talk on #firefox-ios and #ios-push-taskforce if there are questions.

Hi everyone,
This is a pre signoff email for the "Send tab with Push Notification" feature.
Please note that there are no longer server issues that might impact the functionality for this feature but, there are a few client side issues that must be fixed before relasing this to Prod. 
Tapping a Tab notification does not open the correct tab – Bug 1375995
Duplicate tab, received on wrong device with Push Notification while two devices are synced with the same account – Bug 1376280
Empty notification received on Firefox Beta – Bug 1375988
On upgrade the fxaDeviceId is not obtained and uploaded in our client record – Bug 1378881
For the final sign-off on this feature, Catalin and Simon will test and come here with a reply and a final status (since i'm in PTO from Monday July 10th until July 21st<day of the beta 8 release >).
Below, the overall status 

Manual QA'S ASSESSMENT & RECOMMENDATION
Feature status: Yellow 
Reason: There are no blocking issues nor crashes, but there are still bugs open 
Proposed course of action: wait until all client side issues are fixed 

Recommendation: SHIP IT, CONDITIONALLY
More testing can be done in the last two weeks of Beta, and make sure that all the major issues have been fixed
