Really... new Nightly icon is really the bad joke...
and I'm not talking about that nearly rainbow-hued with political connotations Nightly icon,
I'm talking about this tiger, which has nothing to do with red panda.

Summary: New Nightly icon is bad joke... → New tiger themed Nightly icon is bad joke...
They must have been totally stoned when they decided this. And according to the original bug 1388778 it's not the end. Looking at this current icon I shudder just imagining what they use for iteration 3, 4 and any other possible followups.
or maybe it's some kind of sabotage...

Don't panic, and don't insult people. It's fun, you should Google Calvin & Hobbes.
They icon will be reverted before long, I'm sure.

It's an icon. In Nightly. I might suggest you do a little thinking about how to more constructively engage with people over minor issues that you disagree with.

Oh, please, that's ridiculous. Sometimes an icon is just an icon. Please keep your conspiracy theories out of Bugzilla.

The color scheme from auroras. It's a theme we've used before (cf. the now-discontinued Aurora channel,
and the origin of the "Australis" design name). https://twitter.com/mart3ll/status/894921890455838720

Ha-ha-ha! That was also the joke (the very bad one, and to see who will be triggered by it)! ;)
Now, we're even about bad jokes.

P.S. On next iteration, I can recommend:

That's not how jokes work, and attempting to cast your report as such is disingenuous. We're done here.
