STR:
- Have an email in any folder in Thunderbird
- Drag and drop this email into a Finder window or just your Desktop
Expected:
Thunderbird should drop an .eml into the folder
Actual:
Nothing happens.
When you're trying to drag the same email out again, I do get a dialog saying
/var/folders/3y/lddxs6616fb2cb5jkhh76lt40000gn/T/mozDraggedFiles/blahblah.eml already exists. Do you want to replace it?
and indeed, all .eml's I dragged out are in that folder. So they somehow get experted into there, but never moved into their final destination. This is a recent regression, and mozregression told me

and out of all of those patches, bug 1955751 looks most likely. Not sure if this affects other platforms or just macOS - I didn't test.

Bug 1955751 changed test-only code so that could not have caused it.
Looks like it would be an m-c change. From https://hg-edge.mozilla.org/mozilla-central/pushloghtml?startdate=2025-08-13+16%3A00&enddate=2025-08-13+23%3A00 bug 1802163 looks like a very good suspect.
I see bug 1983136 is linked there. Let's dupe to that, and on the off chance it's not the same, reopen after that's fixed.

Oh, sorry! I didn't look too closely at the patches - thank you for finding the right one. :)
