Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.2) Gecko/20040812 Firefox/0.9.1+
On a a dual setup monitor (ATI radeon) when the second screen is on TOP of the
main screen, when the right click menu appear at the top edge of the main screen.
I did NOT notice this behaviour before when the second screen was to teh LEFT of
the main screen. Right now I have changed settings and moved the screen to the
left and I get same behaviour only this time the right click menu appears at the
left edge of the main screen.
I haven't restarted my browser yet...
It's a possible regression or somethings.... Since 0.6 I never had this bug, but
I never moved my second screen on top.
Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. move second screen to be on top of the main screen
2. right click on a page
Actual Results:
menu opens on top edge of main screen
possible caused by screen being on top of main screen
Duplicated on 1.0PR on XP Pro SP1.
My machine is a Dell Latitude D600. The Laptop LCD is the primary display and a
CRT to the left of the LCD is the secondary display. If Firefox is on the
secondary display, any right-click menu will display on the left hand side of
the primary display.
Does not happen on my Windows XP SP2 machine. Right-click menus appear where
they should, even with Firefox on the secondary screen. I have seen this issue
on other systems with similar setups, just not SP2.
Firefox: 1.0 PR
OS: MS WinXP SP2
System: PC (Dell Latitude D500)
Primary Display: built-in LCD
Secondard Display: CRT positioned to the right of the LCD
Other: Configured Windows to 'extend' my Desktop onto the CRT

The same problem occurs on my machine with Firefox 1.0PR (using WinXP SP2 on an
IBM X24) while having the secondary display to the right and somewhat above the
primary display.
Might be connected to bug 138933.

Well, Firefox just crashed and after restarting it, everything worked alright.
Apparently the problem just occurs, when Firefox is launched before activating
the secondary screen.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Launch Firefox
2. Activate the secondary screen
3. Move Firefox to the secondary screen
Reproducible: Always

Same thing happens on my IBM Thinkpad R40ep
winxp pro sp2 and the newest display drivers.
build identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; rv:1.7.3)
Gecko/20041001 Firefox/0.10.1
it's not only when i right click on the secondary display, also the dropdown on
the urladdressbar and googlesearchbar are displayed on the primary screen.
feel free to contact me for further information/bugfix testing.
This is a rather anoying bug... hope that its being fixed very soon.

Possibly relevant to note that exactly the same bug occurs on MacOS X (10.3.5, on TiPowerBook 666) ;
if Firefox launched when no external monitor is connected, and subsequently an external moitor is
connected and becomes the main monitor, arranged to the right of the internal screen; then when a
Firefox window is on the secondary, left hand monitor, on right click the menu appears at the left edge
of the main monitor.

I just noticed this error as well. I can confirm that it only happens for me
when I activate the secondary display after launching firefox.

This happens for me as well (RC2 on XP SP2) on my laptop when I hook up another
monitor. As stated in comment #4, the problem only exists if Firefox is running
prior to the activation of the second screen. A restart seems to do the trick.
