I think dual/multiple monitor support is important and this bug will track
problems and issues with dual/multiple monitors in mozilla.org products.

Well here is a new one as far as i can tell with a quick search
i was looking at panorama images looking for a background for my 2 monitors so i
had the firefox window expanded across both by manual dragging it past the end
of the screen it all worked fine till i tried to right click and image. the
right click menu was in the wrong place, instead of beaing under my mouse it was
on the wrong monitor
setup
debian testing
xinerama+nv driver+ old(gpl)ati driver
nv 4200 and a very old ati pci card
2.6.7 custom build (i can give you the .config if you feel the need)

Josh, what you're describing sounds like bug 245418.
I'm not sure if this is related to this bug or if I should open a new one, but
I figured I'd start here. Using the attached xorg.conf file, I run Firefox on
the primary desktop (0,0) and Thunderbird on the secondary (0,1). If I have
Firefox running and click a link in Thunderbird, I get the following notice:
"Firefox is already running, but is not responding. To open a new window, you
must first close the existing Firefox process, or restart your system."
If I run both Thunderbird & Firefox on the same monitor, everything is fine.
Is there anyway to tell Thunderbird to look on all desktops for a running
Firefox instance to open the URL in?
I'm running:
Firefox: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux i686; en-US; rv:1.8) Gecko/20051202
Fedora/1.5-0.fc4 Firefox/1.5
Thunderbird: version 1.5 (20051201)
Fedora Core 4: Linux myhost.mydomain.com 2.6.14-1.1656_FC4 #1 Thu Jan 5
22:13:22 EST 2006 i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux

bug 96034 still exists in ff 1.5.0.1, is 5 years old, and assigned to people no longer here. It may not seem like much but when you can't select and item from a form because it appears off screen, it's more than a minor annoyance.

Can someone add #319965 as a dependency?

I assume that you will want to add Bug 466413 as a dependency.

Just filed bug #492002 for multi-monitor cookie confirmation dialog (always opens on same monitor, regardless of the location of the browser window that caused it to open).

Would https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=426354 be a dependency as well?

We have been tracking multi-monitor issues on a per-platform basis, and across platforms using the multi-monitors
keyword in bugzilla. Closing this meta bug as its usefulness has expired.
