I opened bug 370857 which blocks this one for the Widget/Cocoa fullscreen implementation, as it is not only related to Firefox.

I am not so sure that bug 370857 blocks this feature, unless we are talking Firefox 3.0+ My reasoning is that Firefox is currently Carbon based and not Cocoa based.

We are talking about Firefox 3.0, as the version for this is bug is Trunk. Honestly, I don't think it is valuable to work on this for the Carbon widget, as it won't be supported any more in the near future.

Is this going to happen?  Firefox 3 really needs fullscreen on the Mac.  It is only partially finished without it!

Yeah, fullscreen on the Mac is a definite need. The closest I've come to figuring this out is Megazoomer which should work with Cocoa apps but doesn't seem to work w FF3...
