Details
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1; SV1; .NET CLR 1.1.4322; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; FDM) Build Identifier: version 1.0.7 (20050923) I have put a copy of my outlook.pst file (which comtains all my outlook email, calendar, contact, etc) onto a new machine WHICH DOES NOT have Outlook installed. This is because I want to use Thunderbird and NOT buy Outlook. When I attempt IMPORT of either Calender or Email, and error message box pops up and states that it "Can't find an Outlook Email(address book) to import. I have placed the outlook.pst file in the same location it would be if Outlook was installed and I don't see any option where I can "tell it" where to look. What do I do? Thanks in advance for any help! Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open Thunderbird 2. Select IMPORT 3. Select OUTLOOK 4. Select either MAIL or ADDRESS Book Error box then pops up saying that it can't find Email/Address book Actual Results: See above Expected Results: I expected it to find the outlook.pst file and import, or give me an option to "point" to where the outlook.pst file is. See Expected Results

The report and its suggestion is correct. There is no obvious way of importing the Outlook address files (*.pst). However, because the program is only looking for a special folder on Win98; simply creating C:\Outlook\ and placing Outlook.pst in it worked. Therefore I conclude that the fix, as originally reported, is a simple one. Allow a "browse" object show up so that the user can select the folder.
