We made a good QA with our community (public web forum, topic for beta 1: http://forum.mozillaitalia.org/index.php?topic=19652.0 and topic for beta 2: http://forum.mozillaitalia.org/index.php?topic=20346.0 ) especially for those parts deeply changed from 1.5 (Preference window, Add-ons interface).

Various people are using nightlies searching errors, but no major issues discovered from beta 2 release. For this release we searched to anticipate the QA, to avoid last minute issues.

We are doing litmus test. I don't know how to link the tests: they are a lot and the Litmus Search doesn't show all tests (only 15)...

We could have problems with one help file (using_firebird.xhtml).

If online images will be replaced with changed size (as suggested in a comment) to adjust other locales, italian help will have stretched images.

We have been contacting ANSA: today we received the ok for using it by phone from the chief director. We are waiting for a written permission from ANSA thechnical departement ASAP: they promised the answer by Thuesday 26.

A short update about ANSA feed

today we received the ok by phone from technical/web/marketing departement of ANSA (Mr Cunetta). He submitted the request to their legal departement, for the final review. He promised that they are going to give us the written permission tomorow or wednesday.

Today we received the preliminary written authorization to use ANSA feed in Firefox from Giuseppe Cunetta. ASAP an english official written autorization from ANSA legal departement will follow.

Here the text:

Michele, is the Italian version ready to be released?

We should still have a bug to change the feed from the mozilla-italia redirect to ansa directly, but that doesn't block the release.

If it's ready, please close this bug to indicate sign-off. Deadline for that is today, as announced in .l10n.
