If I open Prefences, click on Mail and Newsgroups, and then try to pick a
different preference the right pane never updates.  In addition, the OK button
will not work at all, I have to cancel and lose any preference changes made to
this point

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Open Preferences
2.Click "Mail and Newsgroups"
3.Try to select a different preference, or try to click OK	

Actual Results:  It sorta hung.  It was possible to hit cancel and escape but
preferences became useless	

Expected Results:  Obviously, for Mozilla to not hang like this

gack! this happens on today's linux opt comm bits, too. [2000.05.15.08] marking
all/all. this occurs after selecting *any* of the Mail and Newsgroups
categories. the following appears in the console:

CSSLoaderImpl::DidLoadStyle: Load of URL
'chrome://communicator/skin/pref/pref.css' failed.  Error code: 16389

this.dataManager.pageData[aPageTag] has no properties

Using may 16 commercial builds, NT 4.0 and Mac OS 9.0 -- Worse: if you're in the
mail window and go to Edit|Preferences (which would select mail and newsgroups
pref category) you are hung. No pref dialog appears, no way out that I've found.
Priority: P3 → P1
Confirming on Windows 2000 as well.

You can get out of the hang by deleting mozregistry.dat and mozver.dat.
Not sure why, but going to preferences, doing whatever, saying OK and then re 
opening preferences gives you just the right pane of whatever the last 
preference you were looking at.  No Ok, Cancel or anything, just that little 
pane.

noticed that this also happens after selecting the Advanced category, using
today's bits 2000.05.18.08 [opt comm] on all platforms. am guessing it's due to
the same bug, so updating summary.

oh, and here's the console info after clicking another category after clicking
Advanced:

since it's in line 126, rather than 128, this may or may not be a seperate bug.
however, if the fix for the original one (Mail & News...getting error in line
128) fixes the one for Advanced, that'd be good.

fixed.  the problem is pref.css is no more.  removing all includes of it.
