User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.1.7) Gecko/20091221 Firefox/3.5.7 Build Identifier: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; Intel Mac OS X 10.5; en-US; rv:1.9.1.7) Gecko/20091221 Firefox/3.5.7 When using hotkey mappers like quicksilver, option key is often used for launching/activating apps. Thus, when I try to use the option key in a key combo to launch firefox, it always starts in safe mode. Really annoying! I can't use any other key for this, as command is used in applications already, and control is too far away from anything else on the apple wired keyboard. Is it possible to add a '-no-safe-mode' flag to firefox, or some config option, to disable this feature? I never ever need it - I'm a fan of moving the config dir out of the way if it goes wrong. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start firefox from quicksilver, mapping its activation/launch to 'option' + 2, for example.

In bug 1140183 I added a check for an environment variable, MOZ_DISABLE_SAFE_MODE_KEY. I don't use QuickSilver so I don't know how easy it is to hook it up there.
