Details
We need to get PFS off AMO. Kev and Tomcat say there is a version of PFS on plugins.mozilla.org. We need to switch over to it. This bug will serve as a tracker for all the stuff we need to do to make that happen.

ccing QA for test stuff. ccing Schalk, because he is working on the new plugincheck, which is not strictly related, but will use the new backend when it's ready. The bug for new plugincheck is bug 797192.

Just confirming that the code for the plugins.m.o app is http://svn.mozilla.org/projects/plugindir/trunk/ Last revision is 2012-01-12.

Bug 836415 has now removed the Plugin Finder Service (PFS) from Firefox. As a result, I'm closing all the remaining PFS bugs. Bug 1071161 tracks retiring the PFS service entirely.
